The Artscape, South Africa 2008
Dear Ben,
Although the queue at the Lady’s was pretty long after your most heartening presentation at the Artscape today, I have never enjoyed waiting for my peepee so much. All ladies had shiny eyes, most chatted to each other and all faces were lit up by beautiful smiles. You could feel their inner enthusiasm having been rekindled (and mine – believe me! - very much as well), their step strong and most interesting of all, they didn’t take so long in the loo!
Have YOU any idea what could have caused such an important change in attitude?
I was born on the day of capitulation, the 8th May 1945, in the eastern part of Berlin, lived in South Africa during the Apartheid time and left in 1991 for the U.K. And Germany, with no intention to ever return. But return I did in 2005, after 5 years in London and 10 in Nuremberg. I did marvel about the possibility that I would never have encountered you “live” if I had not returned to this wonderful country of P O S S I B I L I T Y .
Thank you for having given so generously of yourself. You sure infected everyone with her/his personal seed of change and transformation.
With gratitude and heartfelt wishes,
Sonja
