Correspondence

Dear Benjamin Zander,

We met at the Alderburgh concert which you introduced and conducted. At the time I was very moved by the spirit of the performance and the presence of the musicians. We met also at breakfast, when you approached me to exchange some thoughts and David later brought me your book and CD. Your spontaneity and generosity is a surprise and delight - thank you ! I am reading your book with great interest. For me it is a form of mysticism, not owned by any institution, as it's traditions tell us, full of discovery and story telling. So much to reflect upon. A real present. The music of course is then even more ephemeral, subtle and rich. Thank you again !
